Scottish Wedding Photography – Burnhouse Manor Hotel
What a wonderful wedding this was, great venue, great couple, friendly guests and to round the night off 140 Chinese lanterns.
Say hello to Kenny and Christine, they are a lovely couple and we had been excited and looking forward to their wedding for a long time.
As we’re Perthshire and Scottish wedding photographers we travel all over our beautiful country and this wedding seen us travelling to both Newton Mearns for the ceremony at Maxwell Mearns Castle Parish Church then onto the Burnhouse Manor Hotel (recently shortlisted for the 2013 VOW awards) in the Ayrshire countryside.
This was the first wedding at Burnhouse Manor that I had photographed and I loved it, such a fantastic venue for wedding photographers and guests alike! Their garden made sure that we could take full advantage of the beautiful sunshine we had that day.
Before Kenny and Christine enjoyed their meal they had the speeches with a little surprise, Christine sang a lovely song for her new husband, it was beautiful. Christine is no stranger to a little performance after being an aspiring actress.
The one thing that we love about wedding photography in Scotland is the amazing sunsets that we get to see. The happy couple couldn’t wait to get out to have a few photos done. Normally at this point our day is done, but Kenny had one very important phone call to make to Glasgow Air Traffic Control so that they could let out their 140 Chinese lanterns (1 for each guest). The Burnhouse Manor is situated on the flight path of Glasgow International Airport. It was a truly special way to round off a wonderful day.
To Kenny and Christine, thank you for asking Martin Ward Photography to be your Scottish Wedding Photographer. It was a beautiful day and and it was a pleasure capturing it for you.
Here are a few of our favourite photos from this Burnhouse Manor wedding.
