We are delighted to have been told by the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers that I am now an ‘Associate’ member. So what does this mean and how did I achieve it? Well for the Associateship of the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers (ASWPP), applicants must present evidence of excellence in the techniques and creative interpretation of wedding or portrait photography. Only 10% of the wedding photographers in the country have reached this standard, so we are over the moon with the award.

So What is an Associateship?

Well for the Associateship of the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers (ASWPP), applicants must present evidence of excellence in the techniques and creative interpretation of wedding or portrait photography. I submitted the below panel of 20 images which were then judged by Fellows looking for

  • Technical aspects.
  • Creativity.
  • Impact.
  • Composition and Posing.
  • Style.
  • Lighting.
  • Mood.

Achieving this in my relatively short wedding and portrait photography career is very important to me and I am immensely proud. Associateships are not given out easily.
