Scottish Wedding Photography – St. Matthew’s Perth & Piperdam – Sean & Sam
Just 8 days after our first visit to Piperdam, we got to go back for Sean and Sam’s wedding, first though, we had the ceremony at St. Matthew’s Church in Perth. April really was a glorious month for wedding photographers in Scotland, blue skies and warm temperatures where a regular feature.
Sam was getting ready at their family home, which meant that Sean got packed off to spend a night in a hotel, while Lee-Anne was getting all the little details and sharing in the laughs and tears of the bridal preparations, Martin was driving to the Landmark Hotel in Dundee to see what mischief the boys were getting upto…. as it turns out, none. What an anti-climax.
As we are one of the premier Perthshire wedding photographers we found it a nice change of pace to do some work in our home town (Perth) and St. Matthew’s made for a wonderful setting, a lovely church made even more welcoming with the sun streaming in the windows. The ceremony was lovely, a nice simple family affair which even included a little christening for little Mia.
As they valued their wedding photography, they made the decision to stop off at the Inchture Redwoods to have their portraits done, a fantastic idea as it gave us some gorgeous light to work with and the photos really benefited from it.
It was onto Piperdam. While our bride and groom refuelled during their meal we took the time to set up their signature frame which they bought from us after the pre-wedding shoot. The day finished off with us taking advantage of a beautiful sunset over the Piperdam Loch. A great way to end a perfect day.
Here is a little look over some of our favourite photos from this springtime Scottish wedding.
